We will now discuss the differences between the processes of absorption and adsorption. Many a times the phenomena have been understood wrongly. They have a similar physical force working behind them.Although, both of them are completely different.
The word Absorption has different meanings in contexts of different branches of science. We shall discuss the general understanding of the process. The process of absorption involves particles( any) being taken beyond the layer or line of difference.
While the process of Adsorption is not. It is only on the surface.
There are quite a few differences between absorption and adsorption.
In physics, the X-ray spectrum based on the emission-absorption spectra can be observed.
Adsorption too has different meanings in different contexts.
